Hi Everybody.
Just become a proud owner of a MR2 Mk1a, looking forward to the many years ahead with the little fella.
Purchased recently of a gent called Cliff in Lancashire, a club member, who recommended i joined.
Heres hopefully (if i get it right) a few pics, a well cared for, solid car. My aim is to carry on in that vain, keeping the bodywork and trim as original.
I live in the Leeds area, so my first question is, can anybody recommend a local specialis, for any mechanical work, ie Cambelt, water pump and a service, needed in the near future.
Been looking at the pics in the Club Garage, theres some fantastic looking cars, i can see this been a never ending project ahead.
Cheers
Steve

That's a beauty! I can't recommend any specialists as my car just goes to our local garage. Do you plan on driving it much? Are you busy on April 17th? The Wales Run is great: http://www.mr2mk1club.com/showthread.php?17332-Sunday-17th-april-wales-run

The car looks great. The white wheels look good. You can probably get another set of wheels and refurb for not much and then decide if you want to use the white ones. If they are well painted someone would be interested in buying the white ones.

The mk1a wheels have out lived a lot of the mk1a cars.

Hi Dinky Tom, I am in Keighley and have a 1989 Mk 1 with 84,000 on the clock, bought from Milestone Classics in Sussex last April. Had my mot and service done by PR Autos in Crosshills, Yorkshire, this is an independant Toyota garage ex mechanic from local dealer who is well respected in area. Paid £189 for full service and mot, though mine came with full 10 years service history. We had another MR2 Mk1 almost identical was 1987, but had to sell due to son learning to drive, so happy to have this one identical colour and spec. Looking forwards to any runs we can attend, keep in touch. Cheers Allan
