Under 20k miles! With a big price tag as a result!

It is a big tag but think of it compared to a brand new car. I'd buy that in a heartbeat if I could afford it. But it deserves a museumy sort of life I think. I'd put too many miles on it.

I saw this on Autotrader last week. It's certainly the highest price I've seen one on sale for of late and it is lovely, but it's that blue interior which tends to divide opinion.

The trouble with these low milers is that sadly they really aren't for driving at all. You know its pristine and you just wouldn't want to damage it with even the smallest of stone chips.

The chap who owned a sky blue 1a with around 20k on from this forum said exactly this, that he polished it alot, took it to a few shows but never enjoyed driving it through fear of damaging it, that's why he eventually sold it.

I can relate to that.

Priced about right i think considering what fords are fetching , a series 1 RS turbo went for £55000 at the nec in November and a 3 door cosworth for £80000 so the mr2 is cheap in comparison and a far better car than the escort .
