Magneti marelli! They helicoptered me and the missus into Silverstone for the F1. Pit lane passes and free food and drink. Those were the days!!

Anybody remember The Persuaders with Roger Moore and Tony Curtis ?
The actual car driven by Roger Moore as Lord Brett Sinclair was there on the Saturday resplendent in its false number plates. I felt I had met one of my childhood heroes !!

2770

Sadly I can't stop at one favourite, there were so many wonderful cars to see I have to share these with you......
The BMW M1 in white not a million miles away from my Mk1.

2771

2772

The poster car for my generation the Countach

2773

there's more to come !

An Eleanor replica (taken from the top of the bus)

2774

Some Esprits although my favourite is the white series 1 as driven by Roger Moore in The Spy Who Loved Me
(Are you noticing a theme here? I didn't find a White Volvo P1800 to complete the set !)

2775

The rather wierd but lovely joint effort between Citroen and Maserati the SM

2776

Another TV related car, a Quattro similar to that driven by Gene Hunt in Ashes to Ashes

2777

just one more batch coming up....

I once had a basic E30 316 (it wasn't even 316i) but it was such a revelation after driving rather mundane cars like my Mini Traveller, Renault 5, Datsun Cherry and a couple of Nissan Micras that I really enjoyed driving it.(Unless there was snow in which case it was safer to walk!)
Consequently I have a soft spot for BMWs.
Here are three I admired at the show, none of which has any link to a TV show or a film!!

2778

2779

2780

Fantastic show with some fantastic cars, really enjoyed it.
Sorry I couldn't stick to just one favourite !

I chose this car because it was the finale of Mike Brewer's car clinics

It was in the paddock at the back of the old pit lane. Sadly out in the rain so I didn't take a picture.
