I was only being sarcastic! :)

I am actually one of the people who bought into the development of the game a couple of years ago, so I have the latest beta build on PC. The game looks fantastic, easily one of the best looking racing games I've seen. The handling and FFB still need a lot of work to be comparable to Assetto Corsa and especially rFactor 2 which is by far the best at the moment for handling/FFB and other features. There is a running joke within the sim racing world that pCARS won't be released for years as, behind the scenes, WMD/SMS keep discovering issues as they get closer to release. It was scheduled for release last year initially. I think this game will be fantastic for people who like pretty looking games, and the more arcade style gamer who use a console and gamepad. For the more hardcore sim racers who enjoy realistic handling physics and FFB, dynamic track surfaces, complex tyre simulation, day to night racing, dynamic weather, and who use steering wheels then rFactor 2 is the way forward.

Anyway, I've made myself look like a geek now...

Great competition, I'll enter it now! :)

Hi

One of my best mates has been testing Project Cars for about the same amount of time as you and he's moaned a bit about the release date being put back, so we weren't sure if you were being serious. My mate loves it, he's put a lot of videos up with his lap times, apparently he's quite good. Although other games are probably more realistic, for someone like me (I only get a couple of hours a week if I'm lucky on my PS4, gaming PC no longer gets used, due to a 3 month old baby) it's probably ideal as I don't have time to get into many games.

Cheers

Yeah it is frustrating, although if you're in on the dev team it doesn't matter as you already have the development builds on PC. I guess if you're waiting for release on console it's annoying. The thing me and a few of my 'racing' friends have found is it just feels numb compared to Assetto Corsa, and then Assetto Corsa feels numb compared to rFactor 2, in which you can feel every bump, flat spot your tyres which leads to massive vibration through the wheel, and a rubbered in racing line, which all makes the racing feel more 'real'. This is probably two generations ahead of console racing which I guess is fairly simple. rFactor 1 was well advanced for it's time but lacked the things rFactor 2 now has.

I'm sure they will all feel numb on a PS4, having time to use my pc.
