Engine wanted

Does anyone have a good condition mk1b engine? Its for my brother as his engine is knocking.

He does not mind travelling to collect.

They are hard to get even I am struggling to get decent ones I have one spare possibly but not for a while all the Corolla buffs keep wanting them , I have one now but need to put in one of mine as I have the dreaded knock too, phoned a guy last week and just for a short motor he wanted £500 !!!

I have one took it out with 110k miles to put in a 20v blacktop
Been in the garage since... how does £400 sound ? Currently in north Hertfordshire 8n the border with Essex
