I do like the mk1 in black. Makes it look more compact and purposeful if that makes any sense.

I also like the look of that service station in the adverts last picture - could be from the 1940's!

can someone post up a picture of the exhaust? I think it may have been my old powerflow system.

I saw that one yesterday aswell. Has it had a respray do you think? Some side strips missing fore and aft of the door, no pin stripes and I saw orange peel paint near an arch in the wheel pic. No pics of the interior or the engine though.

Still, it's quite a tidy car which looks great in black and the wheels are nice too. According to the write up, the seller's Dad owns the garage.

..... bit overpriced but hey it's a black MK1.

Why is it over-priced ? If everytime a Mk1 comes up that is advertised at above what the market price has been in the past and someone says its over-priced, then our cars will stay ridiculously cheap, which is OK if you are a buyer which I assume most of us on here aren't. Compared to some of the 80s crap thats on the market place for stupid amounts of money at the moment, I'd say £3,500 for a car that is as rare as that, is remarkably cheap.

I rest my case ......... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1981-Austin-Allegro-Estate-1-3L-Total-Ground-up-REBUILD-to-Museum-standard-/301548127270?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item4635ab4426

Is this the one which says it's really rare and that according to the MR2 MK1 club it might be the only one on the road in the UK (continues to look on ebay and finds another black Mk1 Mr2 being sold...)
