I'm amazed that these 1 owner, low mileage cars still turn up after all these years

This one also looks tidy

Personally I don't consider 116k 'low mileage' for this kind of money, but then when you work it out it represents only 3866 miles a year which is indeed low.

How come every car that comes up for sale now is around the £4k mark. I'm not knocking
it, but interested to know.

I'd say in reality it was probably doing at least 10k a year for the first few years then got used as a weekend 'toy'

I'm only the 2nd owner of my car...

Working it back my car has averaged 7600 over the last 25 years. However in the 8 years I've owned it I've covered 15750 a year...

I've driven a diesel car over 100k miles in 3 years so to me 116k in nearly 3 decades seems v low indeed :-)

if in 27 years time your diesel has 116k on it then it too could be called low mileage ;)

While the white MKIa looks quite tidy for its age, the price does seem a bit high for the mileage. Part of that is probably due to the current dealership possession. There is an identical white '86 MKIa in the US, with only 23k miles, that is exceptionally clean, and current bidding on it is around $8k (US), and reserve is supposedly $12.5k. I think it is about bid out at its current bid, but we'll see.

As pointed out on the that red one, it has been resprayed and is missing all side moldings, so probably priced a bit high, plus I didn't even see a mention of mileage.
