Me and Hetty will be in our own cars so I think we should be numbers 5 & 6. My wife might even come along to this one as we both love Whitby! :)

Scott, name added

Big P, name added but I seem to recall you must be a member to take part so you will need to get that sorted.

In a similar vein is there a rule about what cars are allowed on a run? Hetty is thinking about replacing her mk1 with a roadster next year, but she'd love to still come on the runs. I said that I think a mk2 has joined us before, but I would guess that mk1's get priority.

Hi
Could you add me to the list please. It will be my first run :)
Thanks Martin

Gilles27

Well Hetty has now got a mk3, but she still has her mk1 for now. Is she allowed to use her mk3 on the run?

The Silver Fox
21st September 2014, 06:02 PM
Personally I don't see why not. It's the same as if my mk1 was off the road and I would still lead the run in my Volvo. Check with Tom and say that I don't see why not.

MY car has failed it's mot on a couple of minor mechanical things that the garage is fixing, but it won't be ready for Sunday. I don't want to miss the run so my intention is to come along as a passenger in Hetty's mk3. If any mk1 owners have a spare seat and want a passenger I'd love to hop from car to car! :)

Sorry I will not be able to come. I had my MOT booked for today, after some body repairs by Gary last week and it seems to have lost all its electricity. So as it will not move, I will not get my MOT today, so cannot join you all tomorrow. I hope it is just a flat battery, everything seemed fine before!

The Silver Fox
27th September 2014, 01:51 PM
Thanks to everyone who let me know that they couldn't make it tomorrow. I am sure there will be another one next year.

To everyone else, can we meet in the area of the Days Inn at Wetherby Services. The contact number for tomorrow will be 07703440871.

The forecast for tomorrow is cloudy but at least it will be dry.

See you all tomorrow. :)

I can explain the unsteady hand of the video. The person operating the camera was dancing to Tom Jones: It's not unusual . . .

My thanks to everyone who took part in the run today - you made it all worth while.

It was nice to meet up with some old friends and also some new faces. It was a good day and the sun came out for the afternoon to put the icing on the cake.

Hope everyone got home ok as we did.

Barbara and I look forward to seeing you all again soon.

Thanks to all for making yesterday a great end of year run. Nice to meet a whole new bunch of people who we didnt meet at Tatton. Think we covered 350 miles more or less!

One added bonus, she passed her MOT with no Advisories!!! over the bloomin' moon.

Interesting fact:

There was 51 years between the youngest driver on the run - Martin, and the oldest - me :D

Just goes to show that the MR2 Mk1 appeals to all ages.
