Hi all,

Hoping someone can help. I am after a set of the tbar metal trims - see pic below. Its where the rubber fit in to. Mine are covered in some kind of strong sealant and I can not be bothered stripping it all off. So if you have a clean metal trims and centre bar (ideally with the screws and nut intact - but not essential),

Thanks

surely they all have the sealant on them. I thought it was called butyl tape, applied at the point of installation.

Saying that your centre bar does seem t have more on it than i remember on mine.

Well the butly tape would only be on the bottom of the trims, touching the car roof. Mine have sealant where the t-bar rubbers go in to. In the channels. Which is s PITA to remove.

When I did mine a quick soak in acetone it is all just wiped off. Be careful as acetone isn't a very nice chemical and will ruin most things it touches, paint especially and your hands.
