Are you sure it's the same one as the owner is stating that it may have had some bodywork in the past but not to his knowledge,if you are correct you have saved me some money. ;-)

Yep I have an eidetic memory when it comes to MR2.
If the bodywork has genuinely been carried out fair enough but alas I feel its another mr2 that's gone from an enthusiasts hands to someone who has tarted it up and trying to make a profit.

However never rely in description on these go see them and see if the work required matches the price you are willing to pay. As with any car I suppose.

I had started a thread asking if there were any members nearby to have a look,I have requested additional pics of the underside of the car but the seller is avoiding sending, but thanks for the info,my search will continue.

What the hell does that mean so if you can't afford to live in a good area you're not to be trusted.
In my profession the more money someone had the less open hearted they are.
Mind you not a surprise he lives in Carnoforth Then if you need money Considering he wants a two grand profit.

Looking at the ebay photos the paint and bodywork in general look pretty good, but having purchased a mk1 that looked good, then having a shock when the skirts came off after I had paid for it, I would always ask any seller on eBay to send you extra close of photos of the wheel arches and sills before I even contemplated travelling to see it.
It ain't worth the risk!

Guys photos are a waste of time, you need to go and see it and poke around underneath. I have seen photos that made the car look sound, a quick poke of my finger proved otherwise. I can say my old car will have no rust in any of the arches or sills unless it has been in an accident since December :-)
