I've read that the speaker has a paper cone and most have deteriorated over the years and sounds poor which I don't mind because I'm prepared to replace it:

I recently had a great response from the club members and aquired an original OEM stereo. It's now fitted and paired with some new 4" Pioneer dash speakers and it sounds good but not great so I woud like to add an underseat subwoofer. I'm not looking to shake the street but just some half decent sound to listen to on long journeys or when I'm cruising round with the t-bar removed :cool:
