Hey all,

Thought I'd stop by and introduce myself. I'm Ed and last week my beautiful MK1 MR2 got home. Now it's safely tucked away in the garage out of the rain!

But now I've got it in the garage I've already had the rear brakes apart to check them and soon to adjust the handbrake to make it a bit more effective.

Thought I should join up here and see if there are many other owners around the Redhill area?

I managed to snag her from a guy who had her in his garage for the past 8 years! It's in awesome condition and I intend to keep it that way.

Looking good! It seems to have an extra repeater / reflector down low in front of the front wheel? (http://i.imgur.com/7yBueVh.jpg)

Nice! That looks like a US side marker?

I'm from Surrey originally, nice part of the world. Where abouts are you?

I'm Banstead :). If you want to meet up with others there's loads of things happening. For example, Ace Café and Bromley Classic Show in two weeks time. See South East meetings section where Alan has listed things during the year.
We combine with Drivers Club at lots of events so there's plenty of people and things happening. In a few weeks time for example, there's a meet at Toyota HQ, Epsom Downs - you could pop in and see some cars? Toyota lay on coffee and cakes then procession takes off to Eastbourne for late afternoon meal. Again it's listed in Alan's posting and he's really the contact.

Yeah I'm going to the Bromley Classic show. Gonna be with the guys from mr2oc.co.uk so if you see a little Red Mk1 surrounded by Mk2s then that could be me haha.

And I will head on over to the relevent sections and see what is happening in terms of meets and events. That Toyota HQ event sounds pretty cool.

Great ...will try and find you at Bromley if I go. Have had some car issues and I'm not 100 per cent certain I'll get there.
