this was for sale for a bit on p/heads on 2 occasions last year in Guildford & he did mention the idle prob but it seems to have a few more now. I think a member on here had a friend that owned itwhen the conversion was done so he may have more info but I cant remember who offhand. the car looks ok, nice seats & bay but something stopped me going for it & its in wales now so its further away. as the guy says if you know a bit it may be quick fix but id be looking to get it for @£1800 tops.

This is my best mate's old car.

He converted it himself. It's worth more than £1800 - the engine cost a grand plus it's got a dastec chip and oversize pulley. I had a go in and it and witnessed it go over the speedo.

Epically fast.

The PH guy had it up for £3500, which is overpriced, considering he bought it for £2500

The engine detailing at the time was amazing.

Yeah, I remember chatting to you and your mate at Silverstone about this - sounds a fascinating car, and hopefully not too much work to get up to scratch.

It sounds to me the seller doesn't know what he's talking about regarding some of the comments.

I.e - starter motor timing needs adjusting...
- Choke on all time - i'm guessing he doesn't realise its meant to rev to 2k then go to 800rpm eventually...

Yeah I remember Ben, I was indeed jealous and very envious of your recent acquirement :( lol

Yeah, I wondered about that too! :S

Sounds like an airlock more than anything...

the reason I price it @£1800 is I thought the guy looking for £3500 was overpricing in the current market & as you say he bought it for £2500 so with a few extra years on it & some probs which will cost me as I am not able to do it myself I think its about right.

The 4agze has an electronic idle control, so the guy hasnt got a clue.

1 or 2 in the uk, well I must have the other one then!

It was meant to be putting out 180hp....
