What a great day! I hope evrybody has made it home safely. Sorry Kris and Alison could not join us but full marks for a 45 minute trip up the motorway to aplogies! We all hope Alison's Mother is comfortable and we are sorry she was taken unwell this morning.

Excellent company, good weather, quite roads, Gary's mechanical expertise, Bill's wheel changing skills, the air ambulance, a fleeting glimpse of a World Hertiage site, great views, the country's most congseted petrol station, numerous suicidal sheep, a large bowl of chips and the occassional Sunday driver and traffic calming tractors - it had every thing that makes up a typical MR2 MK1 North West run out!

Thanks again for the great day out, really enjoyed it, great roads and the usual banter.

Hope Bill gets his car sorted, it wouldn't be a Mk1 run without someone breaking down. Just glad its no longer me...!

The obligatory group shot.

From door to door the total mileage today was 599.8 ( I did think about driving around the block again just to get it to 600 )

Thanks Graham, one of the best runs we have, If not the best, you do now some terrific roads, I will order some handbrake cables today, it was the nearside cable that was sticking on, my disc and calliper where so hot you could fry an egg on it.
Bill.

Great day out, so our thanks for the guided tour of the North Pennines. The stop start motorway trip home was a pain but I was pleasantly suprised that over the whole trip, even with my brother on board I averaged 39 mpg (super unleaded) Must have been driving economically round those roads. Anyway here's some pictures !!
