What a great day! We drove through sunshine and up into the clouds and down next to lakes. A really good, tiring day.
Hetty loved it and is very keen to know when the next one is. Oh, and she hit 160,000 on the way home!

What a day! Great roads, great scenery, great company! Thanks again to Graham (Lakelad) for his choice of route and everyone else for turning up and making it a grand day out. I'll pick out the better photos and video and post them up soon, I promise. 325 miles door to door, on a full tank of fuel (minus whatever's left when the orange light has just lit). Can't think of a better way to spend a spring Sunday.
Great to see everyone and meet some new members too.

Looks & sounds like you all had a good day. Great to hear my old car has done 160k & still going strong :D

Must admit the weather today made me regret leaving my mk1 sorned until April - hope the Wales run gets the same sort of weather - we a due a year where the weather falls in our favour...

It really is going strong. As my car was being repaired this week I drove the old one a few times and the engine is really smooth and powerful. It's running the best I have ever known it.

What a great day out and thanks to Graham for a brilliant run . The turn out was excellent with new faces attending who all enjoyed their first run out with the club . Hetty was a big surprise , she was put at the front behind Graham so we wouldn't lose her but this lady could drive and was gone like a stabbed rat from the off  . I did 350 miles round trip and its now ready for a wash . Wales run next cant wait .

Thanks for a great 1st run out with the club!

Time lapse of most of the run.. no sound and looks like I filmed it with a potato, due to compression rates..

Love the video! When you were showing it to me at the cafe you said it took a pic every second. Can you alter the timing? What is the name of the app? Think I'd like to have a play with that.

I lost my drivers side mudflap on the run. Does anyone have a spare?

Thanks, it looks so much better in HD.. https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/time-lapse-camera-hd/id402616263?mt=8 is the one I use, if you search for Timelapse in your App Store it should find a few.. This one has intervals of 1/4,1/2,1 second and then second intervals through the 24hours.

No help with your mudguard, sorry.

It started out murky, and as we climbed the cloud obscured the summits

But then the sky to the west became brighter as we skirted the first lake

But all the credit for this pic goes to Bill. Honestly, put a camera in his hand for 5 seconds and he snaps a class portrait like this. Straight out of the F1 pits.

Thanks for a great day out, all
