Sorry if posting other cars annoys some people, I am always looking at what else is up for sale and I figure there are ties being these are from the same era, country etc

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/nissan-180sx-kouki-type-x-s13-s14-s15-200sx-silva-drift-/281228449758?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item417a8597de

These have always been on my list of cars I want to own.

Finally decided to have a closer look at one last year, was advertised as a good one which hadn't been skidded, £2k iirc... it didn't drive well, but I think it may just not have been set up well/in need of TLC

Its an itch that needs to be scratched one day, but now due to the drift scene they are starting to fetch silly money

Anyone had one or got any thoughts?

I've considered these numerous times over the years whilst buying cars. Never but the bulls though, they just don't really do it for me. Maybe I should drive one...

My friend had one and it was a great car to be in! Very quick and felt like it would handle pretty well.

I wouldnt touch one that looked like it came from a need for speed video game though (just not my thing)

Go on...test drive another...you know you want to Ian!!!

I'm still wondering how it would have been if I had bought one of these instead of my mr2

I've never been fond of these, I've always preferred & owned a Skyline, the straight 6 just does it for me, although when it tried to kill my wife it was sold very quickly after the incident.

Again I don't like them, I had a Civic Type-R circa 2004 for me you felt as though you were ON the car rather than IN the car like you do with a MR2. I also hated the engine, it was totally gutless unless you had the V-Tec screaming it's balls off. Doing 80 on the motorway & you come up behind a car doing 70, ease off until they move over floor it & wait & wait & wait then wait a bit more, or drop it down to 3rd & go off like a scalded cat. I'm sure on a track they are great fun, but I'm too lazy a driver to have one on the road.

My friend had a Nissan 180SX as a company car. I remember him letting me drive it once when we went to watch F1 testing at Silverstone. I got a bit enthusiastic at a mini-roundabout near the circuit entrance and the security card was not happy at all. He wanted to stop me from entering, but relented after I apologised. He then told me that he'd had exactly the same problem with Damon Hill earlier in the year. Never thought of Damon as a 'hooner'!

I used to own an s14a a couple of years back. Absolutely cracking car and have been toying around with getting another one the second I sold it... That engine is just sweet! sxoc.com is the big forum on s bodies!

The uk got the ca 1.8 unit which had a bottom end made of chocolate unfortunately, think next year I will get a close look at some of these. Make a decision after seeing a few up close

Apparently there is a cheap S13 on Driftworks but it's in Cornwall which seems to be putting everybody off

bit of a thread revival going on here...

I traveled to Southend on Sea from my home in the Sunderland to check one of these out, and have put a deposit down on it.

The car is a 1991 s13 with 41,000 on the clock, full service history including original bill of sale and brochure, owned by the same guy who bought it new for almost £20k, now in his 80's and giving up driving. The car looks like brand new in most areas, only needs a few small cosmetic jobs. The biggest issue is what lurks within the transmission tunnel (auto :( ) but I am going to keep my eye open for a rotten/blown s13 with manual box in, ready to swap at a later date.

at the front door of our semi detached house right now... 7 LOL  only three of those are mine though

The corolla which was rear ended on a motorway was a Cat B write off, and to free up space I am going to have to sell my mk1 (unfortunately) but I am sure I will have another in the near future (this one is my 3rd already)

My brother came home with a '92 Vitara last night, running on carbs, fat tyres, smells awful and makes loads of noise, our neighbors must be fed up
