Very good value this. Someone is going to get a nice example for not much money at all. Martin is an engineer by trade and has made sure this is a clean and well maintained car, its wanted for nothing being his daily. Youre stealing from yourself mate!

i bang my fo**king against a wall , a grand for this car and all the money you have spent on it mate don't be silly , you might as well keep it and wait to spring and then sell it but better still keep it and join the lads and gals on the runs this year again you know you will miss them and we will miss you . look at it another way mate if you decided to go for another mk1 in a couple of years time and most people who have owned one go back to the mk1 again , will you get a car like yours in its condition for a grand .100% no will be the answer . its worth 2 grand + with all the major body panels done and she's mint with lovely paint work and runs spot on . sorry for the rant guys but it needs to be said , good cars are going to cheap and if its not addressed they wont be worth saving money wise and scraped no cars no club and no fun , i see it all the time prime example a lad ( nice guy ) came on the peaks run with a car he had just paid 600 pounds for it , i said to bill when the mot runs out this car is dead ( just a quick look round i could see it was going to cost 2 grand to put it right for a nice looking solid car if you paid someone to do it ) and low and behold it now dead and Paul sims brought it and guessing for parts but respect to Paul that's all it was fit for and he does save the cars worth saving at present values but more should be saved . sorry for hijacking your thread mate but i know how much money ,time and love went in to this car and for a grand its stupid .

Gary appears to be sitting on the fence again. I wish he would make his passion for these cars clear, he sometimes seems not that bothered.

Am only kidding Gary, a credit to the club.

I have seen this car on many of our runs out and at the Tatton shows, it is a very clean car,

What's the scoop? MoT status, any work needing done, asking (price)?

Mine turned into a project and although it's not a million miles away from finished, it's not likely to be this summer so I'm sort of looking for a nice runner.

Well this is the old ad, and now archived, so I've no idea what it's up for. I was waiting for the ad to appear as a new one. Posting in here doesn't bump it because it's archived, though it does seem to appear in the New Posts list.
