MR2 Mk1 Club South East events for 2013

We will be doing a separate post for each but any questions please feel free to ask one us
Thanks

Introduction
The details below are a list of proposed events. There will most likely be other events that we will be arranging. One of which is a possible late afternoon/evening open pit track day at Brands Hatch in August but we have no further details at this time. On the other hand if there is no response to a listed event then that event may be cancelled due to a lack of interest. So it is recommended that if you intend coming to an event please let us know either by email or preferably by posting on the club web site forum.
*
At all of our events members of the Drivers club are welcome to join us and likewise we are welcome to attend the Drivers club events. Where tickets/passes are booked in advance then they will be shared equally between the clubs.
*
You may also notice this year a change to obtain tickets /passes for some shows. Event’s organisers are now required to obtain details of individuals who wish to exhibit their cars to comply with their public liability insurances instead of relying on information from clubs about individuals. They have cottoned on that the details of individuals provided by car clubs in advance are not usually the ones who turn up for the shows and in such cases they will not be covered for those people in the event of an accident or injury. In these cases we have provided the contact details of the event so that an email message or quick phone call is required to confirm attendance.

If you wish to join us at this event you must obtain an application form either from Alan Cayzer or direct from the dockyard as although clubs are welcome you must apply to register your vehicle on an individual basis. In the morning we will be meeting in the car park outside the entrance and go in together so we can be placed next to each other.

26th & 27th May Sunday and Monday. (May Bank Holiday Weekend)
Motorsport at the Palace Sprint meeting. (£0)
A weekend of motor sport at Crystal Palace Park, hosted by the Sevenoaks & District Motor Club including a sprint meeting and classic car show with a combined club stand for both Drivers Club and MK1 Club display on the Sunday and Monday. We went to this last year. It was really exciting watching the cars sprinting through the park, wandering around the paddock and the car show. We met the organisers by chance at a Christmas Party held by our neighbour and they were very keen to have the MR2’s display at the show. Unfortunately at present space is very limited but we may be given more places if space permits. If all places on the club stand are full you can still come and join us but you will have to leave your vehicle in the on-site car park and pay the £10 pp admittance fee.
This is a spectacular and very busy show with the emphasis on motorsport action.
