Is not going even an option for me? You'd best stick me on the list quick.

Any restriction on 'friends' of the club coming? PM me if it's a difficult answer.

Bill, I see you've not actually put yourself down on the list. Are you not feeling well enough to make this one? Would you like to passenger ride with me?

I would like to propose a strike if Bill does not join us on this day out one way or another!

Also, I don't know where the correct thread is to bring this up, but Bill, could you make a list of all your duties as LAO for the next monthly meet so we can find someone to take it on who knows what they are getting into? As most of you know, I'm regional rep of MR2OC and could perhaps amalgamate the two roles mostly to keep things moving in the north west, but I'm not 100% on what's expected of the LAO. Arranging shows, events and monthly meets would be pretty easy to double up on for both clubs, but I don't know what else is involved?

Rick, I would be happy to take on some responsibilities but think it would be good if it was shared around since we all lead busy lives. We have a good group and I am sure everybody is keen to make sure we dont let the NW region go the same way as many other regions.

Ooh, this would set a nice little deadline for me. I'll try my best to get the car roadworthy by then.

hi, sorry ben no 1.5 permitted on this run far to fast . only joking mate , it would be a pleasure to see you on the run mate and to have a look at all the hard work gone in to building the 911 killer . i hope you get it done for the run and meet the great lads and girls who attend it .

Oof, getting close now. I think the 1.5 is ready for filler now. Hopefully my mate can hammer away at it in time for a quick mot with everything crossed, then away.
Here's to hoping!

It'll be good to have two 1.5's out on the prowl! Mine is due an MOT next Friday, so fingers crossed I'll be there. Got to do some shakedown testing also as I finished doing a headgasket change on mine at the weekend.

See you all next week! :)

Well I've got my car back and it's failed on a couple of things:

-New front brake pipes left and right
-New front tyres (tread is fine in the centre but sides are worn out from cornering :))
-Little bit of welding needed - behind the rear corner triangle on the near side

Plus of course exhaust and handbrake but they're both being taken care of by moi! I discovered that it was the brake cable that had seized, but the caliper could have done with changing anyway. New cable arrived this morning so I'll fit that tonight after work.

Not too bad considering it's my daily driver I don't think.

Should still be on track for the weekend :)

Looks like I'll be coming but jumping in someone's car I'm afraid as none of mine are on the road. No point rushing the 1.5 but it will be a Tatton next year, the white one ha sno tank in it and is still full of metal maggots chewing away at the moment.

I'm afraid I won't be able to make this run after all. There's a lovely new hole around an ARB mount which needs welding up. Plus the rear bodywork won't be ready. My mate will be doing the spraying this weekend. AND it needs to pass an MOT.
Pretty gutted I won't have a chance to meet you all and blast around the peaks but there's no way around it I'm afraid. I'll be hoping to join in with the next meet that's not too far from me.
Hope you all have a good'n!

Really so to do this, but I'm going to have to cry off for the meal. Just checked the bank account and it looks like I'll be borrowing the petrol money off Sara to come on the drive :(

Probably also means I'll be crying off the food after go karting too :( I'll have to see what I can flog on ebay between now and then.

MOT achieved yesterday. :)

Knock sensor failed this morning though! OMG I thought. Thankfully managed to pick one up from a scrapyard this afternoon. Just done some full boost testing and all seems good, woo! I was super chuffed to find a knock sensor today, especially at the price I paid, as they're £150 from Toyota!

See you all in the morning.

Cheers,

Brilliant day out again. Thanks Gary for organising it. Sorry to keep everyone waiting at the start point - I had to dive into my garage unexpectedly for a seat cover before I left home, to avoid a repeat flare up of me Chalfonts (see old episodes of Minder/cockney rhyming slang dictionary for explanation) as my T bar seals have given up the ghost again! Hope everyone got home in the rain without incident. I was shocked to find that the premium rubber Admiral F100s (!) on mine are LETHAL in the wet, so was very glad the weather only rolled in after we'd finished.

It will only lead to high levels of frustration.....

On a serious note, if you want to give it a whirl without the expense there's some free software which is very similar called Gimp which you can download on-line and there's loads of video tutorials on Youtube where you can learn how to edit - perfect for the weather we're having!!!

There is also some free software called Photoshop CS5 that you can down load on line if you look in the right place ;)

But even following you tube tutorials I can't get anything to work how I want it to.

I was chatting to someone who said Lightroom was also worth a look, but I've not downloaded the 'free' copy yet.

hi, thanks to every one who turned out for the run , a very enjoyable day and great to all get together again . it was a pleasure to meet Paul ,a very nice bloke and I'm glad he enjoyed the day out and is going on the lakes run next year . one of my best comedy moments what nobody saw was when dave went for the breaks on his side of the car coming in to a corner quite hot, it still brings a smile to my face now ( sorry Dave ) but he is a top bloke and a excellent co driver . i will organize the peaks run again for next year it would be rude not to .

How about someone from Yorkshire doing a T.V type run i.e Last of the Summer Wine, Emmerdale and Heart beat. The roads round Holmfirth are good as are the ones round Scarborough cannot remember where emmerdale was filmed but they are good roads as well. I've been there on the bike but was going far to fast to take in any names lol.
