Evenin’ all,

I’ve been lurking around here for a while soaking up all the Mk1 knowledge, some great info and projects on here.

This is my 1987 Mica blue t-bar that I bought a couple off weeks ago...... I used to have one of these cars back in 1991 and forgot just what great little cars they are until a mate bought one last month and I took it for a spin..... 3 weeks later, I went out and bought this car...

it's only done 62,000 mile from new with full Toyota main dealer history and every mot and tax disc from new so a pretty comprehensive history really..... rear arches are starting to bubble and will need addressing but all in all, it's a lovely car.

I’m glad to have joined this forum... it seems a good place to be for MK1 owners.

Cheers,
Ian

That looks a lovely example and Mica Blue is my second favourite colour (after my mica red naturally). Whereabouts are you based?

After inspecting the car for an hour and test driving it, the deal was done and I drove the car the 145 miles back to Stafford...
well from reading that i'd say stafford Kate!
from the pics I'm guessing weston but I could be (usually am!!!) wrong

Welcome along Ian!

It's worth using the Wanted section for any part requests..

Feel free to post up pictures of any other toys you own!

Good luck with the arches Ian, if you are lucky they will be sound once you have cut out the bubbles but be prepared to find more rust. You can get inside the rear arches with your hand from the boot if you remove the side linings. I will keep my fingers crossed for you.

Anyway what is a bit of rust when the car drives like a MK1 :-)
