Hi everyone,

My name is Jon and I live in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. I am 39 years old, married with 2 kids (who are currently being brainwashed into thinking that the MR2 is the ultimate sports car!) and a passionate MK1 owner. I go to any club meets/drives that are within 8 hours of me and I even drag my wife along!

I just joined the site here but I have been a member at multiple MR2 sites on my end of the pond. My username is the same so you may have "seen" me before on MR2.com or MR2OC.com.

I currently own 2 1989 MR2's - 1 SC t-bar and 1 NA hardtop. Both of them are white with the SC sporting a black leather interior while the NA has a blue cloth interior.

My first MK1 was a 1986 sunroof model way back in 1992 or so and I have also parted out 2 1988 SC's in the last year (I believe you guys call it "breaking" a car...!) so I am no stranger to these awesome cars!

I may not be too active here however if anyone is looking for USDM or Canadian specific parts, let me know as I have plenty and I can ship worldwide.

Hello Jon! Welcome to the MK1 Club. We do tend to be very UK centric but have members all up and down the country and a few overseas. The more the merrier.

We do like pictures though............................

My first MR2 was in 1991 and it was a 1990 (one of the last few 1989 models registered in 1990) white N/A t-bar. We had that for three years (my ex husband and myself) and toured Europe in it - camping! After we split, I had a long gap and then bought a Mica Blue N/a which I had for 5 years and then sold on to be restored and bought my Mica Red tin top S/C which I adore.

Mk1 Owners are meant to be the friendliest owners and this club bears that out.

Can we have some pictures please?

A few more. The pics with 2 white SC's are recent and the one with the white wheels is in the process of being "parted out" or "breaking" in your terms!335336337
