I have been a bit dim here.

I confess I have mixed up the lake district and the peak district. So I now have a 4.5 hr drive just to get to you, im going to have to pull out im afraid, hopefully something similar will run a bit closer :)

Looking forward to my first ever mr2 run on Sunday. I'll be bringing my 14 (15 on Tuesday!) year old daughter with me. I'll have my phone/sat nav and wallet. Is there anything else I need to bring?

Hi mate

Camera is always good, especially if youve got a passenger to take some pics along the way.... I tend to bring a few bottles of water & some snacks aswell. Finally, bring a brave pill if you want to try to keep up with Gary & Bill!

Thats a shame, but there are 2 peak runs this year & also north wales next month which was an awesome day out last year, so worth the effort if you can make it to that one.

Thanks Bill - Good to see everybody today - I hope everybody got home safely. It was nice to have the weather on our side and the place looking so nice - just a pity it brought so many people out and about (you should see it when it's really busy!). I think the image of the rear of the white mini-clubman with the mountain bike on the roof is burnt on my retina - having followed it for 15 miles I can still see it everytime I close my eyes!!

I loved it! I'm also pleased to report that I got home safely. Thanks to Doctor Gary for the roadside assistance. Maybe we should call you gAAry!

It was great to meet you all and Alice had a great time too. She took about 200 photos so I'll post some when I get them off her tonight. I really enjoyed the fast stuff. The slower parts were good too as there is so much to see in that area. A fantastic day and many thanks to Graham for all the planning that must have gone into it. I may well be in touch soon regarding a holiday let as I know my wife and the other kids would love a holiday in the Lakes. I assume I get a club discount! ;)

I got home without incident and I hammered it at times. Gary rang me that evening and he'd followed me home for a while and said there was no more of the evil white smoke. It's been fine since, so it looks like it was a one-off.
