Hi all.
Here I am organizing my first group buy

First things first.
This group buy will only go through if we get 5 or more participants.

The parts will be purchased from SBITS / Peter Gidden.
Although I do not know Peter personally I have done some research and he has excellent feedback from his costumers and he has been trading for at least 7 years.

here are some pictures of the parts in question.

Tie bars are all stainless, and are full kits. Including new outer track rod ends, spherical inner bearings and spacers.
The group buy is for the pair, if you wish to join please reply to this topic and don't forget to mention if your vehicle is a mk1a or mk1b

as money goes:
1-5 sets £125/set
5-8 sets £115/set
9+ sets £107/set

These prices are including individual UK shipping costs....

This group buy will close in the end of January. If we have enough participants the parts will be ordered first week in February, if not then the participants should contact Peter directly if they are still interested.

Some reasons why this is a good investment:

The rear tie rods on the MKI MR2 are prone to severe corrosion and over time fuse together into one piece. This makes alignments nearly impossible and most people find that their rear tie rods are either bent or mangled after attempting an alignment.

Rear tie rods ends can only be sourced at the Toyota dealer and they cost £50+ each

These Tie bars are all stainless, and are full kits. Including new outer track rod ends, spherical inner bearings and spacers. Because they use front standard track rod ends (still sold by aftermarket manufacturers) if something goes wrong with your rear tie rod ends in a couple of years you can always get a £14 replacement!!

Please do let me know if you can think of other reasons :)

Paul,

Peter tends to update on IMOC forum. He's got all the kits. He is sending out by end of week he said earlier today.
