***SOLD***

1989 Toyota MR2 Mk1 T-bar 1.6 twincam

Tax: March 2012
MOT: April 2012
120'000 miles

- Recently had 4 new tyres, brake pads, FUCHS Titan race oil, oil filter etc
- Full black leather interior (Great condition for age)
- Decent stereo (iPod connection)
- Electric aerial still works
- Pop up light motors work fine
- OEM Toyota (corolla ?) wheels matte black
- smooth roller bearing gearshift kit
- T-bar seals have not leaked on me
- HKS Induction kit but can have stock induction fitted.

Drives great, old school & soft as you would expect but no knocks or rattles !

The main reason I purchased this car was the floor pan and suspension top mounts are solid and free from rust, however aesthetically the arches have been previously cut free of rust & repaired with fibreglass and its not really up to my kind of standards (Also small hole on lower bottom of arch where I poked the rust out and used rust-eater, however easy fix with filler if it bothers you, but I was more than happy to have a mechanically sound Mk1.

The Engine still loves to rev and has never missed a beat, infact the entire car has been 100% reliable during my ownership, so with a bit of TLC on the exterior there is chance to own a decent AW11.

looking for *£950* and I am open to offers or possibly a swap.

Car is located in Telford, Shropshire. Viewing welcome.

please email me as I'm at work so will reply faster, but if necessary give me a ring.

Cheers, Alex.

P.S Will post pics asap

That is in beautiful condition mate! My name is also Alex - seems we attract mk1s lol.

What is that Fuch's oil like? Do you notice any difference compared to other brands?

Good luck with the sale!

Hi Alex, Yeah the overall condition of the car is very good there is just a few tatty edges which let it down, but as you can see from a glance the car looks fantastic !

In reality there's not much difference in performance between any oil on a road car, but I work for a Ginetta race team and we always use Fuchs (previously Silkoline) TITAN on them about 1/4 full in the sump to optimize performance (less friction but less heat etc). It did make my MR2 feel abit smoother however I think that was down to the previous owner having old manky oil in which had broken down.

Cheers, Alex.
