SOLD...

I'm selling my Mk1 tintop Supercharger, its white over silver; never been welded; confirmed by Dickersons as recently as last September as 100% rust free, unmarked paint (at most one or two stone chips in the front splitter but none on the bodywork), unkerbed teardrops (literally no kerbing at all). Dry garaged under fitted cover for last 4 years after being imported from Japan for me.

Was dyno'd at Revivals motorsport last year at 176bph (dyno reading available), but since then I have had it de-catted so should be running in the mid 180bhp range.

Ken from the Mk1 club valued it for me recently at around £4,750. I'm open to offers in that ball-park.

Let me know if you are interested.

For avoidance of doubt having read through some other threads, this car to my knowledge has never had any rust, nor has it had panels cut, welded, or replaced. This may be hard to believe in this country but it had been dry stored before I bought it, and I have continued to do the same. It has been repainted, by Dickersons, to a very high standard with original Supercharger decals sourced from Toyota in the US (they'd been in a storeroom in California for 20 years). The paintwork, with the exception of some stone chips in the front splitter is to show standard.

All the electrics including the cruise control (its the Limited Edition) electric windows and aircon are working perfectly, and the aircon was recharged this year.

Stunning! If I hadn't just bought Ronnie's SE, I'd have been straight down the A12 to Epping.

> 176bhp

Pulley swap, I assume?

Yes, I fitted the Fensport pulley and uprated plugs as soon as I bought the car. Very shortly after that I then replaced the clutch and supercharger pipework!

Hi there, clock reading was around the 116,000km (if I remember correctly) when I bought the car and had the speedo converted to mph. So about 70,000 miles. Since then its done about 6,000 miles, but the clock was counting from 116000 so now reads 122,x00, but I will check. Basically for the age its low, but been used enough not to seize up.

I've had it maintained by an MR2 specialist in Essex: www.westfieldmotors.co.uk/ and have all reciepts since then; this has included a new clutch, work to the suspension, airconditioning was recharged earlier this year, new heater matrix etc. It has been waxoyled, and new electric window mechanisms fitted. I have about £4,000 of reciepts at last count....

The only negatives are a bit of the piping on the drivers seat is worn, there is a crack in the top of the dashboard, simply from the age of the plastic, and the stereo, which works fine is the original Japanese one from god knows when and only picks up weird stations due to band differences. The CD multichanger still works even though its the size of a big stereo separate and lives behind the passenger seat. Despite the fact I've had them completely stripped and rebuilt on braking from high speed there is a slight feedback tremble, but I've been assured the discs are not warped and the pads are fine. I have been unable to trace this one and was reluctant to replace it if I'm told there was nothing wrong. It sailed through the MOT in May with no faults and no advisories.

Rob,

You are most welcome to pop round and have a look at it to see if you are interested... (Although I secretly know that when you see it you will feel the need to buy it....)

Cheers

Paul

Just to let people know, this car is now sold, to a club member. I'm sad to see it go, but it's off to a good home to be with other Mk1s.
