hi, i have had this problem before with with the post office , go to your local post sorting office and see if they are there , my items were left in a corner for 4 weeks .

HughesR1
19th October 2011, 09:33 AM
So just went to my sorting office and theres nothing there. They said they have no info on any items that are being sent to my house. Aswell Im pretty sure when you send something of this value and size you Must have recorded delivary due to the cost.

HughesR1

Its is probably time to involve the police i would say, collate the information you know about the seller and contact your local police office to get the ball rolling.

HughesR1

No, I sent a huge message about resolving it with citizens advice bureau, and he offered me my money back. Now he has not responded about actually sending me my money.

Wish i'd read this thread before having any dealings with James, he's ripped me off and another member on Imoc, he advertised a set of "American spec rear lights, look like supercharger ones" and i agreed to buy them, what turned up were US spec early lights, nothing at all like supercharged ones as we all know.

He's blaming me and everyone else except himself when the item was clearly not advertised correctly and is now ignoring all attempts to get a refund. He did the same thing to "Munter" who has been taken for a falsely advertised set of brake pads.

Has anyone got his contact details, a phone number? Address? We plan on taking him to small claims court but cannot proceed until we have details, any help you chaps can give would be appreciated, we need guys like this stamping out, it would seem 95% of everyone that deals with him has problems.

James if you're reading this, do the decent thing for once and man up for your mistakes, refund us and you might just rescue this, otherwise it's going to get very messy and embarassing for you, you'll probably get banned from all Mr2 forums too behaving like that.

well paul from the pic on page 1 of this thread those lights appear to me to be early US spec (i.e. round reflector and ribbed no. plate backing) so maybe your prob stems from miscommunication rather than outright scamming, I know general image of US spec lights is late spec big units but I'd stake my best anorak on those being corectly (if a little vaguely) decribed as US spec, I for one would like them as a rarety if I was building a 1A car

EDIT!!!

OK just full read your post paul, mmmmm early US spec lights are not at all like SC ones, but round reflector/ribbed no. plate surround are 1A rare and gorgeous, now there is a certain MK1 Club member with a champagne gold 1A and newly fitted US spec decals that could be interested in those

2nd EDIT!!!
it would seem I am defending this seller, this is absolutely not the case, I seem to have been lucky getting exactly what I paid for quickly and without problem
If there is anyone here who has the ability to retieve my deleted PMs from last friday 22/06/12 I would forward James' full address to Paul Woods I would even risk a wrist slapping and post it here on the forum
Non contact when you have taken peoples money is simply not on anywhere but here in the MK1 world is especially poor conduct in what is usually a very trustworthy enviroment

think he has sorted a refund, but ask him if they are the correct early lamps and no plate surround I'm sure that if theyre right and condition is ok they would look ace on your car, the only person here in the UK that I know of who ever had a set of those was wayne duncan, so genuine rare not ebay rare

Despite James saying i would be getting a refund all i have had is lies and broken promises, so i have no option now but to take him to small claims court.

In over 15 years i've never had to do this with any Mr2 owner, i would urge the Mk1 club Admin to do something about this guy to prevent others getting ripped off.

adamh
20th July 2012, 09:20 AM
that member needs banning for life. admin should pass on details to other clubs.

Refund never came, taking him to small claims court, James has now been banned for life from Imoc, the Mk1 Mr2 club and Twobrutal.
