The club was established in 1995 with the aim of
promoting wider acceptance of the MR2 MK1 as a classic car and to provide a
focal point for all enthusiasts of this unique sports car.
We have over six
hundred and fifty members all over the UK, the US, Canada, France, Scandinavia,
and even one in Greece! More overseas members are welcome, anywhere in the
World.
As the cars inevitably become older with the passing of time more
emphasis is now being placed on the practical and economic upkeep of the MR2
both body and mechanics. We would like to invite you to join the only club in
the world dedicated to the MK1 - and the second largest MR2 club on earth. You
don't have to own a car to become a member. Our ages range from 18 to 80 and we
have a large number of female members. We are very much the dirty fingernails
club, with a core of practically minded owners who have a lot of mechanical
experience of the MR2, its problems and their solutions. We welcome equally
members who have no mechanical interest and just want to attend the many events,
or just read the club magazine! We have a strong following of Track Action Day
enthusiasts. We're here to help you! Join nearly 650 like minded people from all
over the world who appreciate what a great sports car the MR2 MK1 is.
