North East Christmas Party 2002
We couldn't have predicted how successful our
regions first Club Christmas party would be. We wanted it to be special for a
number of reasons mainly the fact it was our first one so it had to be right on
the night. We decided to hold it at Lumley Castle in Durham, a historic
medieval castle perfect for what we wanted. The setting was superb, only 1 mile
from the Church Mouse where a number of members had decided to stay overnight.
Chairman Stuart Kynoch and Fred and Doris Sanderson from Loughborough made the
effort and joined us for all the fun, it was great having their support from
outside the region, so many thanks for coming we hope you enjoyed the night and
went home with not too much of a hangover. Our evening meal consisted of 5
courses which was superb quality, the tables were decorated in true Christmas
style with crackers, party poppers and balloons. Throughout the night in the
adjoining room there was live entertainment for members to enjoy. We ate, drank,
laughed and partied till the small hours before leaving and reflecting on a
great night. We are already planning for our second regional party in 2003 and
are welcoming ideas from members, there have already been a few good suggestions
so watch this space.
Merry Christmas from the North East
