LAKES RUN 2005 - North East meets North West - SUNDAY 20th MARCH 2005
We all met up at a service station just of
the M6 near Penrith, there we were given maps which had been prepared by Mac
Sheavills who was now sporting his new red, Supercharger T-Bar, very nice. Off
we went en route which took in some fantastic scenery along some brilliant tight
and twisty roads. The day was bright and dry so we had a little more confidence
in turning into some of the narrow corners.
After a stop off for lunch at the Glen Rothay
Hotel in Ambleside we continued through Keswick, Kirkstone Pass, Glen Ridding,
Ullswater and finally Pooley Bridge for our now accustomed farewell
drink.
To sum up its was great to meet our new
members to the Club and our friends from the North West, a superb driving day in
breathtaking surroundings. Thanks to Mac for taking the time to carefully plan
the route.

15 MR2s meet for our popular annual run
through the Lake District. This is always a great run, for 2005 we decided to
have it in March at the beginning of the year instead of our usual end of year
run event. We decided its better this way as its lighter in the
evening.
