Mazda MX5 Run Sunday 7th July
2002
I approached the Tyne Tees region of the MX5 Club to
ask them if they would be interested in a get together. They swiftly replied and
invited us as guests on a club run through spectacular North Yorkshire.
We set off early in convoy from Durham in a mixture of MR2's and MX5's and
stretched as far as the eye could see and boy these guys and girls don't hang
about. The route was excellent and well planned out and were well suited to the
chassis of the MR2. I was really impressed to with the handling and performance
of the MX5, similar cars but I think the MR2 just edges it!!
Later in the afternoon after a breathtaking run we relaxed for afternoon tea
at Horsely Hall, former home of Kevin Keegan and enjoyed a lovely selection of
cream buns, oh how the other half live!!
A great day, thanks to the MX5 club.
